1. Of the various cultures, ethnicities or nationalities you belong to, which most strongly do you consider yourself?
I am solidly Australian. My ancestors on my mother's side were Welsh, Irish, Scottish, and Aboriginal. I know less about my father's side, but his mother's father had a very Viking-sounding name, so Swedish, maybe?
2. Is there a culture you cannot claim heritage from but which you feel quite close to?
Not a culture, no. But I would have loved to have been able to be closer to either Japanese or Chinese culture.
3. What's one language you wish you knew fluently?
Cantonese. Which is actually a dialect, I know, but still. Their insults are amazing.
4. If you could move anywhere in the world and be guaranteed a job, etc., where would you go?
Austria? Germany? One of those two. It would have to be an incredibly high-paying job, though, from what I've been told!
5. If you had a time machine, and could witness any one event without altering or disturbing it, what would you want to see?
First thought was the Library of Alexandria. Second was Tutankhamun. But those are a place and a person. So, an event... Vesuvius. I want to see it explode. Although, the time machine would have to make me invincible, because I do NOT want my brain melted, then frozen and exploded. Gross.
